HE LibraryPlus
Far from being traditional, silent libraries, the LibraryPlus sites in all our campuses are vibrant and interactive learning hubs where students can study, think and create in an accessible and comfortable environment. They provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with your peers or study independently and are always a friendly and welcoming space.
The experienced and knowledgeable team are ready to support you with accessing our online and printed resource collections for use in your assignments and to widen your reading. The team also provide advice and support with your digital skills, research and the use of technology.
Our main library can be found in the University Centre in our Winter Gardens building, where UCW students benefit from a variety of individual and collaborative study spaces, plus access to resources and technology. Themed events and activities are also organised, linking with national awareness days and promotional projects, with students encouraged to get involved and be part of our UCW community.
If you would like more information about the LibraryPlus service, and how we can support you we can be contacted by emailing ‘library@weston.ac.uk’.
If you are already a UCW student, please click HERE to access our LibraryPlus SharePoint page for further information and advice. The Academic Development team can also provide academic skills advice located HERE.
Online learning and teaching
Whilst we prioritise face to face teaching, many of our courses now include online delivery, with students joining a virtual classroom on Microsoft Teams or a similar platform. Our students also have free access to other Microsoft applications, a Virtual Learning Environment and any specialist software they need for their studies. Technology support is provided for our students before they join UCW and throughout their time with us.
