Level 5

Within this short course you will explore what it means to be on the autism spectrum.

You will be encouraged to reflect upon your own professional practice and look at ways in how to contribute to the support of people on the autism spectrum.

The module identifies and explores the range of impairments, psychological processes, and cognition differences, and discusses both the barriers, and the implications of meeting these support needs. It encourages you to reflect on how the person with autism best learns using their strengths and interests.

Funding of short courses:

All of our courses cost £2,900 but have a variety of flexible funding options available to them. There are also some discounts available to partner organisations or those sending more than one employee.

You employer / organisational may be able to part or fully fund your place via their staff development budget, alternatively you could take out a Student Loan, which does not need to be repaid until after you have completed your studies and are earning.  Taking out a loan would not impact on your eligibility to access further funding to undertake a degree in the future.

If you have any questions or would like further information regarding funding, please contact us at finance@ucw.ac.uk
