At UCW, the heart of our academic success lies in the remarkable dedication and expertise of our lecturers. UCW’s teaching staff are not just educators; they are mentors and specialists in their respective fields. Known for their positive teaching methods, real-world experience, and commitment to student achievement, our lecturers consistently go above and beyond to create a transformative learning experience.
Among our outstanding educators, Sarah has distinguished herself as one of our finest, recently earning the title of Outstanding Lecturer of the Year at the UCW Awards. We had the pleasure of catching up with Sarah to discover what inspires her when lecturing.
“It was lovely to be nominated by the students for the award! So many of our students work so hard to achieve their dream and it is an honour to be a part of their journey.”
Sarah’s focus is on inspiring students to believe in themselves, especially when it comes to their careers. “Making a difference is rewarding in itself. But to be nominated and win the award, along with Andreas, is amazing!
“It has to be said though that being an outstanding lecturer is only possible with the support of the outstanding team at UCW that do so much to support our students so that they are in the best place to achieve their goals.”
