Come along to an exciting evening to hear from the international speaker and author Ben Kingston-Hughes. Ben is a multiple time award winner who has appeared on TV on channels including ITV and Channel 4. Ben has worked directly with vulnerable children for over 35 years, he is the Managing Director of Inspired Children an organisation that provides expert training to nurseries, schools, local authorities and many others.
Ben’s excellent book, ‘A Very Unusual Journey into Play’ was enjoyed by many who work with children and has received widespread acclaim from reviewers since its release in 2022. Ben also has a brand-new book, called ‘Why Children Need Joy’ which is a finalist for a Nursery World Award for best professional book 2024.
This event is a part of UCW’s brand new Lecture Series, offering the chance for students to come together and take in knowledge shared by industry experts. With a new guest lecturer coming in monthly, these lectures will be accessible to all students to give the wide breadth of knowledge that they need to navigate an ever-changing world.
