Students from across creative disciplines at University Centre Weston (UCW) have joined forces to bring the film Barrow’s Curse to life in a dynamic cross-course collaboration.
Directed by Film and Media Production Arts student Serena, the shoot had students working closely with Acting students from the Performing Arts courses and make-up artists from the Hair, Make-up and Prosthetics for Production degree. The collaborative project gave all groups of students the opportunity to experience a professional-style film set while developing their creative and technical skills.
The shoot was photographed by Year 1 Film and Media Production Arts student Lily, who documented the behind-the-scenes action. Lily’s photography showcases not only the rich atmosphere of the film but also the teamwork and talent across courses. This film project is an exciting example of how students at UCW gain hands-on experience in real-world projects, working together to bring their creative visions to life.
