This week our Photography, Art and Graphic Design students spent a day in London visiting the Design Museum , The Photographers’ Gallery and Royal Academy of Arts as well as doing some street photography and taking in the atmospheric Oxford Street lights.
Highlights included the William Kentridge show at the RA, Chris Killip ‘Retrrospective’ at the Photographers’ Gallery and ‘Objects of Desire: Surrealism and Design 1924 – Today’ and ‘WEIRD SENSATION FEELS GOOD: The World of ASMR’ at the Design Museum
The renowned bookshop in the Photographers Gallery was pretty dangerous and the students couldn’t resist buying bags of books by some of their favourite artists and photographers which will be brilliant for their research.
A really great day out which will give projects a real boost!
