      Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship


      Qualifying as a paramedic will put you on the frontline of the NHS. You’ll have the medical knowledge and caring skills required to make the difference between life and death every day. Created in partnership with both the South West Ambulance Service and the University of Worcester.

      This Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship (currently subject to approval) is accredited and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC); and by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE). The aim of the degree and apprenticeship programme is to enable apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills, values and behaviours necessary to pursue a career in paramedicine. On successful completion of the course will lead to eligibility to apply to register with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Registered Paramedic.

      We will teach you how to be able to think critically, react appropriately in challenging situations and be an effective communicator, all alongside building the knowledge and skills to deliver immediate healthcare and support to patients of all ages. You’ll graduate as a confident, competent paramedic ready to work in NHS. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge skills and behaviours in both the classroom and in specifically designed skill sessions. The modules that you will study are:

      Anatomy and Physiology Applied Sciences for Paramedics Person-centred Paramedic Practice Skills, Simulation and Professional Practice Leadership Complex decision-making in Paramedic Practice
