UCW gave me the knowledge and the confidence to get out there and create opportunities for myself. The lecturers were so experienced and without their input I don’t think I would be where I am today.

Our lecturers are so lovely. What I think is really nice is that we’ve got smaller classes compared to other unis, so we get more one on one time. I feel like we’ve got to know them.

Poppy, Hair, Make-up and Prosthetics for Production, BA (Hons)

The support and guidance from my lectures has been invaluable. All of my lecturers have been, or still are, practised in the professional industry, meaning that it’s not just the content of the course that we are learning. Our lecturers often share anecdotes about their experiences in the industry.

Having almost every product I need available at all times has been a great benefit to my learning. In addition, the tutors have always supported my ideas and my creativity and that has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to never doubt my abilities.

Natalie, Hair, Make-up and Prosthetics for Production, BA (Hons)

performing arts female student standing in performing arts students

My lecturers have really pushed me in order to become a better performer, while they have helped me in seeing my own strengths. Though we of course are here to improve and get better it is important to highlight strengths and improvements in order to feel encouraged to continue. I feel like my lecturers have really found that balance, which I really appreciate.

Jenny Aspström, Musical Theatre, BA (Hons)

Music Performance student using mixing and production equipment

I would recommend the course to anyone who wants to better their performance skills and develop some business knowledge. The studios and equipment are amazing, and I’ve really enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to use them

      Mike-E, Professional Music Performance

Female Dance student in pink jumpersmiling at the camera

I have gained so many skills from my course – mainly confidence, teamwork, and professionalism. I know I am ready for the dance industry with all the outstanding training I have had.

I chose UCW because they offered great work experience opportunities. Learning character design and making prosthetic pieces helped me to develop a smooth transition into the industry where I now work.

When I started at UCW I never thought I'd progress as much as I have. I believe the support from the lecturers and their skills have been able to push me to be where I am now.
