Graduation 2021
PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION FOR GRADUATION HAS NOW CLOSED
The University Centre Weston Graduation will be a one-day event, taking place on Saturday 18th September 2021.
Preparations are well under way to ensure that you can celebrate all your achievements on the day.
Any communications that have been released can be found on this page.
STUDENTS
It is essential that all students attending Graduation complete a lateral flow test 24 hours before the event. You will need to bring proof of your negative test result in the form of the NHS text message or email. We also ask that you scan the QR code provided at reception to ensure the safety of everyone attending on the day.
If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we are requesting increased testing where possible. For example 3 days of testing with negative results prior to attending Graduation.
If you have ANY symptoms of COVID-19 please do NOT attend this event and let the Graduation Team (graduation@ucw.ac.uk) know if this is the case.
Please note: All staff working on the day of Graduation will have completed lateral flow tests 24 hours before the event and will only be in attendance if they receive a negative result.
GUESTS
If your guests have ANY symptoms of COVID-19 they must NOT attend this event.
Upon arrival to the Winter Gardens guests will be asked to scan the QR code provided onsite. They will also be shown the list below.
Should they not be able to provide the relevant evidence or provide the required answers to the points below, your guest will not be allowed to enter the celebration event.
- Evidence of a negative lateral flow test result within the last 48 hours or a COVID passport.

Please use the links below to view the schedules for the day:
We listened to your feedback in regards to using Teams and have made the decision to move the Livestream onto YouTube. Making this more accessible for your friends and family to watch your ceremony.
You will be able to use the following link to access the livestream on the day of the event: https://www.ucw.ac.uk/graduation-live/
Although we can't allow guests access to the church for safety reasons, there will be a large screen located in the Italian Gardens for your guests to watch your ceremony.
Please click here to book your gowning & photography.
When inputting your course, please ensure to select your HIGHEST qualification. For example if you completed an FdA/FdSc in 2020 and your BA (Hons) Top-Up in 2021, please select your Top-Up course. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact graduation@ucw.ac.uk.
Due to the capacity inside the church, we unfortunately cannot accommodate guests during the ceremony. We do hope that guests will still line the procession to celebrate the success of yourself and other students.
The event will be livestreamed via Microsoft Teams, so your family and friends will still be able to view your Graduation ceremony.
You are also welcome to have two guests to join you in The Winter Gardens Pavilion after your ceremony for a drinks reception.
Each student will be given 2 guest tickets at registration so there is no need to book.

We'll be taking extra photos and capturing more video throughout graduation day - including livestreaming the ceremony for your friends/family to watch and providing a large screen in the Italian Gardens. Everything we capture will be freely available to you - you're welcome to download your photos and do whatever you like with them. There's no usage restrictions and no cost to access them.
