Students on the Level 4 Quantity Surveying Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) recently had the chance to learn from industry expert Huw! Huw is a partner at VWV who came in to discuss adjudication, and how it is used in the construction industry.
Huw carefully broke down the process that he and his company would follow during an adjudication dispute. To give the learners some real-life context, he explained several examples. After this the learners were asked some questions, using Slido to answer these interactively. The session encouraged debate between the learners with people providing different perspectives on each question and case.
After the session, Huw took questions from the learners about the subject. He was impressed by the learner’s engagement in the session!
Higher Technical Qualifications (or HTQs) are Level 4 and 5 qualifications (such as HNDs/ Foundation Degrees/Diplomas) that sit between A Levels/T Levels and Degrees. HTQs are high-quality, job-focused qualifications that are designed with employers and can help you apply for higher paid job roles.
