UCW is thrilled to announce the approval of our new courses for Computing and Digital Technologies! The first new course is Software Development. This course covers a range of areas including software, business & systems analysis, cyber security, data analysis and network infrastructure. Software development is crucial to businesses and allows them to increase productivity and work digitally.
Our second new course is the Cyber Security and Networking FdSc programme. This course focuses on security concepts and using technology to mitigate risks arising from digital threats. Students will develop and apply practical knowledge of information security to deliver solutions that would fulfil an organisations requirement in the workplace.
These courses benefit from a strong relationship with UWE, the partner university for the courses. UCW is also able to create positive connections between lecturers and students, helping learners to develop both confidence and skills. The courses have been developed in collaboration with industry, meaning that those graduating from the course will be highly employable.
These new courses will become part of the Computing and Digital Technologies Careers Excellence Hub. University Centre Weston has ten sector-specific Career Excellence Hubs, which evidence our dedication to supporting both employers and learners in achieving their future goals. By creating a seamless connection between industry and education, we enable learners to acquire not only the essential skills and knowledge but also the professional networks necessary to excel in their chosen fields.
