We recognise that future careers and making industry connections are a crucial part of university. This is why, on all UCW courses, you’ll join one of our ten built-in UCW Careers Excellence Hubs. These allow students to enjoy guest speakers, industry workshops, employer projects and much more, to help students build networks and gain the skills needed for their chosen industry.

As well as helping connect students with industry contacts, this ground breaking approach also helps employers find the talent they need. Additionally, this lets employers play a key role in nurturing and developing new talent for their industry.

Vice Principal for Higher Education, Sadie Skellon said “UCW students can use these Career Excellence Hubs to build networks, connect with industry professionals and launch their future careers. This is part of our approach to educational gains and supporting students to develop their employability skills. To succeed in today’s job market, having the right skills and connections with industry is vital. These hubs equip learners with skills specifically required by their chosen industries.”
