This short course is concerned with child development from pre-birth to beyond. It aims to enhance your understanding of the physical, neurological, and emotional development of babies and children.
You will explore the critical period of the early years in the context of lifelong development alongside the fundamental concept of the unique child. The content of the module will enable you to develop a secure understanding of the holistic development and the importance of taking a holistic approach to supporting babies and young children's development.
There will be a focus on theoretical perspectives of early childhood studies and links will be made to learning, practice and the early years curriculum.
Funding of short courses:
All of our courses cost £2,900 but have a variety of flexible funding options available to them. There are also some discounts available to partner organisations or those sending more than one employee.
You employer / organisational may be able to part or fully fund your place via their staff development budget, alternatively you could take out a Student Loan, which does not need to be repaid until after you have completed your studies and are earning. Taking out a loan would not impact on your eligibility to access further funding to undertake a degree in the future.
If you have any questions or would like further information regarding funding, please contact us at finance@ucw.ac.uk
