Recently our Performing Arts faculty consolidated a full week of creative workshops with external industry professionals to help the students get through the “bluest week of the year”.
Guests of the week included Nestor Garcia (pictured – break dance extraordinaire and performer for ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company and the Sadler Well’s Sting production), Lukin Simmonds (ex student and performer in Lion King, Book of Mormon and West Side Story), Akeem Ellis Hyman (UK tour of Hairspray and Motown: The Musical), Alison McDowall (creator of The Positive Planner), and Josh Elwell (an amazing puppeteer who worked on Dark Crystal, Dr Who and a variety of BBC/CBBC content) among others!
These incredible industry professionals hosted awe-inspiring creative workshops, instructing and critiquing our students to aid with their development.
This was a truly invaluable experience, giving our students a good understanding of professional industry practice.
Thank you so much to our guests for attending!
